Excellence in Remodeling

BIAW's Excellence in Remodeling (EIR) Awards recognize the state’s outstanding remodeling projects in a variety of categories and price ranges. BIAW accepts project submissions in 30 remodeling categories, ranging from the top kitchens and baths to additions, outdoor living, universal design and more.

Industry experts review and score each individual project based on aesthetics, special or unique design solutions, quality craftsmanship, appropriate building materials, budgetary considerations and the challenges the project’s design requirements faced.

Eligibility

• You must be a current BIAW member
• Projects must be completed after Jan. 1 of the previous year
• Photos, floor plans, and descriptions should not be marked with any form of company identification
• Applicants may submit their own homes as an entry
• A company may submit only one project per category
• A project may only be entered in one category, i.e., an ‘entire house’ project may not be submitted as a project in the kitchen category, bath category, etc.

The EIR Awards Celebration will take place at the BIAW Summer Board meeting.

BIAW Awards & Recognitions

Builder/Associate/Remodeler of the Year

The BIAW Builder, Associate, and Remodeler of the Year (B/A/R Awards) honors men and women who have made significant and lasting contributions to BIAW.

Builder, Associate, and Remodeler of the Year winners are honored during the Installation and Awards ceremony held in conjunction with the BIAW fall board meeting.

Nominees should have been involved in projects at the local and state level, and active in their community.

These awards are presented annually during the BIAW Fall Installation and Awards Gala.

Opens: July 1, 2026
Deadline: Sept. 15, 2026

BIAW Hall of Fame

The purpose of the BIAW Hall of Fame is to honor men and women who have made significant and lasting contributions to BIAW.

The Hall of Fame acknowledges lifetime achievement in the building industry. Hall of Fame recipients are honored during the BIAW Installation and Awards ceremony held in conjunction with the BIAW fall board meeting.

Deadline: June 1, 2026

How to Apply

1. Register

Click on the "Register" link and complete and submit the registration form.

2. Login

Login to the award with your email and password.

3. Create

Create your online application.

4. Save

During the Call for Submissions period, your application can be saved as DRAFT until all the required information is completed and attachments uploaded. As each section is complete, you will see a appear in the category tab when the application is saved. At any time, you can download and print your application by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section.

5. Submit

On completion, save your submission as FINAL. Download and print a copy of your application for your records by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section in the right column. Note: If an update is required prior to the Call for Applications period, you can make the update and resave as FINAL.
